Pretending to be on the phone
Lucas is learning to use utensils. It’s obvious that he is enjoying the independence and challenge.
Expressive Lucas tells his Ate to get out of the way so he can push his high chair around. Too funny.
One of the things Lucas likes to do is to find everyone’s belly button and stick his finger in it. It was Ate Jeane’s turn to have her belly button found.
Lucas got a hold of one of his unused diapers and dragged it all around the house with him. He didn’t want to let go of it.
I think we’ve found Lucas’ first favorite food: puto seco. He can’t seem to get enough of it. He just gets so excited whenever he eats it. It’s probably all the sugar.
We took Lucas swimming for the first time. He loved it! We’ll definitely be taking him swimming more often.

In keeping with tradition, we did not have Lucas’ hair cut until after he turned 1. The day after his birthday, we took him to Lola’s salon so that she could do the honors.

Yay, Lucas turned 1 on June 17. To celebrate, Ate, Mommy and Daddy baked him a cake the night before.

We took Lucas to Giggles N Hugs for lunch where he and Ate played after our delicious lunch.

After lunch, we took Lucas to Toys R Us to pick out some toys. He picked a xylophone.

We helped him blow out his candle and open presents at home.

It took a while, but Lucas is finally feeding himself. Yay!
Lucas blows raspberries.
Lucas laughs at Daddy’s wind noises.
